East Selkirk Recreation Association – In further response to the ongoing concern resulting from the coronavirus (COVID-19) and in support of suggested recommendations from public health authorities, effective immediately all East Selkirk Recreation Association spring recreation activities (including but not limited to; hockey, soccer, baseball, etc.) will be suspended until further notice. Gaynor Family Regional Library – is closing to the public as of Wednesday, March 18 at 5pm. Minimum staff will be in the building to handle shipments and dropbox returns as well as maintain elibrary services. Grand Marais Community Central – building and fitness centre will be closing on March 14, 2020 for two weeks. The situation will be re-assessed at that time and necessary adjustments made.
Grand Marais Recreation Centre – In response to COVID-19 the Grand Marais Recreation Centre will be closed from March 15 to March 30, 2020 and all of their events have been cancelled. They will re-assess the situation at that time and make necessary adjustments.
Red River North Tourism – Annual General Meeting scheduled for March 25 has been postponed. The meeting will be re-scheduled to sometime in May and the new date will be advertised.
Red River Planning District – Effective immediately the RRPD office will be closed to the public. RRPD staff are still working and phone calls and emails will be answered. They will continue to accept and issue permit applications through alternative means. For more information visit their website at www.www.redriverplanning.com/.
RM of St. Clements Administration Office and the Public Works Offices – will be closed to the public effective immediately. Staff are on-site and can continue to be reached via telephone or email.
RM of St. Clements Glass Class – The Multi-Coloured Fused Glass Lantern Workshop that was scheduled for March 24 has been postponed to a tentative date of April 21st – same time and location of 6:30 – 8:30 pm at Happy Thought School. We will contact those that already registered with further information and if the tentative date changes.
RM of St. Clements Moving with Muscle Fitness Class – The last Moving with Muscle Fitness Class at Corpus Christi Church Hall on March 17 has been cancelled. We will advise when the fitness classes commence again.
RM of St. Clements RCMP Forum – Due to the recent developments on COVID-19 and the confirmed positive cases in Manitoba and the recommended social distancing measures for all Manitobans, we have decided to postpone the RCMP Forum for the residents of Central St. Clements that was scheduled for Monday, March 16. We will post a new tentative date once decided.
These decisions have all been made in the best interest of protecting the health and safety of our community. We will pull through this together.
