The RM of St. Clements is working to improve recreation opportunities in the municipality to strengthen our sense of community and foster healthy lifestyles. This year the municipality ran two rounds of fitness classes in south St. Clements. They were so popular we are running them again in 2020:
- Moving with Muscle : Tuesdays from 9 – 10 am, January 21, 2020 – March 24, 2020. Pre-registration cost is $80 for ten classes or $10 to drop in.
- Yoga/Pilates: Cancelled until further notice.
- Move & Groove: Cancelled until further notice.
All of our instructors are certified by the Manitoba Fitness Council. A trained leader understands and implements safety, injury prevention, and movement adaptation so participants exercise at a safe level that minimizes injury.
Register online below or in person at the RM office at 1043 Kittson Road in East Selkirk. If you register online, you will pay an additional fee of $2.70 per class for online payment processing.
Instructor Heather Bailey is teaching Yoga/Pilates, Moving with Muscle and Move & Groove. Heather has been trained and certified through the Manitoba Fitness Council.
These classes were funded with support from the province of Manitoba.
Moving with Muscle
This class keeps the body moving and strong! The workout alternates muscle conditioning exercises (using weights, bands, even your own body weight) with low impact moves that are adaptable to any fitness level.
This class is exercise disguised as fun.

This class is aimed at lengthening & toning the body to create balance & alignment as well as mindful state of peace and clarity.
Get ready to stretch, strengthen & tone through a blend of yoga and pilates set to music.
Move & Groove – Cancelled until further notice
A fun workout with a great mix of music and movement to a variety of different styles of music including rock and roll, disco and more. A fun fitness party that will benefit cardio, muscle and flexibility.
