What household hazardous waste is accepted? Acceptable household hazardous waste includes the following products: Fluorescent bulbs of all shapes and lengths, paint, paint aerosols, corrosives, flammable liquids, pesticides, toxics and physically hazardous. Click here for a list of accepted materials.
What is not accepted? Products that are not part of the Product Care Program are not accepted at this event. These include used oil, lead acid batteries and household batteries. Click here for a list of accepted and not accepted materials.
How will this proceed with COVID-19? As of right now our plan is to carry out the event and we will make sure that the event follows the proper COVID-19 safety practices. The volunteers at the event will have protective gear and we ask that those attending the event remain in their vehicles. Simply place your items in your trunk and we will have our volunteers remove the items when you arrive.
Important to note:
- Only household hazardous waste in residential quantities will be accepted with the exception of commercial paint and fluorescent lights. Commercial waste other than paint and fluorescent lights will not be accepted.
- Product Care does not accept large cylinders, explosives, infectious waste (medical sharps), or products from non-residential sources.
- For safety reasons, all products must be in their original container with original label(s) intact to be accepted by the program. We can’t accept containers that have no label, are leaking or are improperly sealed.
