The RM of St. Clements is reminding residents that a scheduled community-wide water shutoff will occur today (February 10) in East Selkirk as part of planned watermain connection work.
Water Shutoff Time
Water service will be shut off at approximately 3:45 p.m., following school dismissal.
Service is expected to be restored later this evening, approximately 9:00 p.m., barring any unforeseen issues.
Boil Water Advisory
A Boil Water Advisory (BWA) will be issued following completion of the work and will remain in effect until water quality testing confirms it is safe to resume normal water use.
During a Boil Water Advisory, residents must bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before:
- Drinking
- Cooking or food preparation
- Brushing teeth
- Washing fruits and vegetables
Residents are encouraged to prepare in advance by storing water as needed prior to the shutoff.
Updates regarding water service restoration and advisory status will be posted on the RM of St. Clements website and official social media channels.
