The annual State of the Region luncheon was held Friday April 24th, 2026 at Gaffers in Lockport, bringing together municipal leaders, provincial representatives, and residents from across the region to reflect on the past year and discuss priorities for the future.

The event welcomed the Mayors from the RM of St. Clements, East St. Paul, St. Andrews, West St. Paul, and the City of Selkirk, along with Premier Wab Kinew, Leader of the Opposition Obby Khan, Justice Minister Matt Wiebe, Minister Naylor, Minister Smith, and community members.

Attendees heard presentations highlighting key accomplishments from the past year, regional collaboration efforts, and the shared vision for continued growth and service delivery. The luncheon provided an important opportunity to strengthen partnerships and reinforce the collaborative approach that supports strong, connected communities throughout the region.
