The Government of Manitoba issued a well sealing order February 18, 2025, requiring the Beaconia Well to be decommissioned by September 2, 2025, due to non-compliance with provincial regulations. In response, the RM has requested to reclassify the well as a non-potable system to allow continued access under strict guidelines.
