The RM of St. Clements Public Works team continues to make strong progress on summer road maintenance. Below is the latest update on key projects across the municipality:
Completed & Ongoing Work:
- Gravelling Program – Fully completed
- Grading – Crews are actively grading roads daily
- Dust Control – Now approximately 65% complete
Upcoming: CIL Road Rehabilitation
CIL Road is scheduled for gravel road rehabilitation at the end of July. This work will improve both the structure and surface of the road, and includes:
• Mulching and reclaiming gravel shoulder material to reestablish road shoulders
• Reshaping the road surface to restore the crown and improve drainage
• Placing new limestone to improve the driving surface
• Applying magnesium chloride for dust control and base stabilization
Until then, regular grading will continue to maintain drivability. Dust control will not be applied until after the rehab is complete.
Ashfield Road Ditching
Ditching work has begun on Ashfield Road and is expected to continue for the next few weeks. This will improve drainage and reduce long-term maintenance needs.
