What are spring road restrictions? Spring Road Restrictions, put in place every spring by the municipality and the province, reduce allowable weights on certain roads to protect them from damage during spring thaw conditions.

The RM has restrictions for municipal roads and the province has restrictions for provincial roads.

2023 Spring Weight Restrictions

The RM St. Clements Spring Weight Restrictions have been lifted as of May 15, 2023.

Loading will be restricted to 65% of Class B1 Normal Axle Loads on the following roads:

  • Roman Drive
  • Leah Avenue
  • Dunning East
  • Spruce Drive
  • Frank Street
  • Kirkness Road
  • Parkview Avenue
  • Wachal Drive
  • Miller Creek Road
  • Old River Road
  • Strathcona Road
  • Rockhaven Road
  • Debra Avenue
  • Danko Drive
  • Nanton Road
  • Ferry Road
  • Readgan Drive
  • Nicholas Street
  • Shalom Path
  • Church Road
  • Harold Avenue 
  • George Street South
  • Boardwalk Avenue
  • Marven Garden Road
  • Bridgeview Drive
  • Park Place
  • Quarry Road
  • Donald Road
  • McKay Road
  • Rebeck Road
  • Church Road South
  • Ludwick Road

And on the noted portions of these roads:

  • Dunning – from Henderson to PR 202 
  • Hay Road – from Gunn’s Creek to PR 204
  • Old Henderson – from Colville Road to Cooks Creek
  • Coronation Road – from Ross Farm to Lorne Hill Road

The RM of St. Clements generally follows the provincial department of Manitoba Infrastructure for road restrictions and dates. These dates can change at any time. Please refer to this webpage for the most up to date information on road restrictions. The purpose of Spring Road Restrictions is to protect roadways from damage during spring thaw conditions. Any provincial truck highways, or provincial roadways, are restricted by the provincial department of Manitoba Infrastructure. Please contact them directly with provincial road inquiries through the Road Information Line.
