The RM of St. Clements is committed to keeping the Beaconia Free-Flowing Artesian Well available to residents while ensuring compliance with provincial regulations and continued access to safe water.
Project Progress
- New Replacement Well: Maple Leaf Drillers is currently on site drilling a new well with a pitless unit and water supply line. Utility locates have been completed.
- Engineering & Design: Dyna-Pro Environmental Safe Drinking Water Solutions is providing engineering services and a turnkey pre-fabricated structure for the new fill station. Two design options are being considered.
- Water Quality & Compliance: Once drilling is complete, water chemistry will be tested and the final design adjusted to meet all provincial standards. The goal is to maintain the same spirit and function as the original Beaconia Well — a safe, accessible artesian pail/jug fill system.
- Maintaining Access: Public access to the existing well will remain available until the new system is operational.
Extension Approval
Because of the time needed for drilling, design, construction, and commissioning, the RM requested more time to complete the project. Manitoba Environment and Climate Change has approved an extension until June 1, 2026. This ensures we can finish the work and transition to the new system without service disruption.
We will continue to share updates as the project moves forward. Thank you for your patience as we work toward a safe, reliable, and compliant water source for Beaconia residents.
