    May 15, 2025 – 7:30 Pm

As of this evening, we’re pleased to report significant progress on the fire situation north of Libau. The fire appears to be nearly extinguished, and conditions are currently stable. We’ll continue to monitor the area closely in the coming days, but for now, things are looking very positive

    May 14, 2025 – 12:00PM

As of 12:00 PM today, East Selkirk Fire Department remains on scene, actively patrolling and responding to flare-ups near properties.

Despite today’s challenging weather conditions, we want to extend our sincere thanks to our three local fire departments and the many neighbouring agencies who have worked tirelessly over the past few days to contain the fire.

To help ensure the safety of residents and emergency crews, we ask that individuals who do not live in the affected area please avoid entering the zone.

We appreciate your continued patience and cooperation as crews work to manage the situation. Further updates will be provided as they become available.

    Aerial Footage

    Tuesday – May 13, 12:16 PM

This aerial video, captured earlier today from a helicopter, shows the extent of the fire near Road 91N and Road 85N. The footage highlights blackened brush and rising smoke in the area. Crews remain on site with air support, working hard to contain the fire. No homes have been lost at this time. Firefighters are speaking with residents in affected areas to provide updates. Please avoid the area to allow emergency crews to work safely. We’ll continue to share updates as they become available.

    Tuesday – May 13, 11:30 AM

The fire remains active in some pasture areas near Road 91N and Road 85N. Our crews remain on site with air support assisting efforts. At this time, no homes have been lost, and we continue to do everything we can to protect the area.

Crews have been speaking with affected residents to provide updates on current fire conditions. We will continue to share updates as more information becomes available.

    Monday – May 12, 2025 – 7:09 PM

Our crews continue to battle the fire along Road 91N, which is spreading north toward Whittles Point. We are actively working on fires in and around the area. We ask that residents who do not live in the area please stay home, as there are many fire personnel on scene.

    Monday – May 12, 2025 -10:38 AM

There currently is a large fire on Road 91N and 32e and is moving north. We have all departments out but at this time we are asking all residents of Libau and Patricia Beach to stay away
