Unveiling of the New Renovation of East Selkirk Early Learning Centre

Manitoba’s Action Plan under the Canada-Manitoba Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement allocates capital funding towards the development of new regulated non-profit infant and preschool child care spaces in higher need communities. Under the agreement, Manitoba is targeting the development of 23,000 new full time child care spaces by March 31, 2026, and capital grant funding is allocated to support the creation of 5,890 new child care spaces.

The exciting part is we’re one of the first eight communities celebrating the fruition of this initiative. This project helps as we’re contributing 74 new child care spaces right here in our community! Now that’s something to be proud of!

The Federal and Provincial governments, the RM of St. Clements, and our partners at JohnQ Built Inc., have all played crucial roles in making this dream a reality.
