A friendly reminder that this week is Emergency Preparedness Week.
Planning for all types of emergencies is something that we all can do, and over the years the Rural Municipality of St. Clements has been working hard to do so as well. We have conducted annual live emergency exercises and also built strong relationships with our volunteers.

Please see below for a message to municipalities from the Province of Manitoba.
Emergency Preparedness Week May 7-13, 2023
We all have a responsibility to raise awareness about being prepared for disasters, emergencies and unexpected situations
While being prepared for disruption is important year round, Emergency Preparedness Week (EP Week) provides us with a unique opportunity to work together and align our messaging to inspire those living and working in Manitoba to take simple steps to become more prepared.
This year’s national theme is “Be Prepared. Know Your Risks.”
Manitoba Emergency Management Organization is encouraging all municipalities to promote EP Week.
Public Safety Canada has developed an Emergency Week Preparedness Toolkit that includes tips and ideas to help promote EP week. You are welcome to share any content provided in the toolkit with residents and on your social media platforms.
By taking an active role in your community, you are helping to build a culture of preparedness in Manitoba.
Thank you for your commitment to keeping Manitoba safe and prepared.
