The Farmland School Tax Rebate (FSTR) program is now accepting applications for the 2024 tax year. Farm property owners may be eligible for up to 40 per cent of school tax to a maximum of $2,500 per ratepayer, which includes all related persons of that ratepayer.

If a client did not receive the rebate in 2023, you can use the links below to access the FSTR applications (corporate and individual).   2024 FSTR Corporation Application 2024 FSTR Individual Application 2024 FSTR FAQs MASC – Locations   If a client did receive a rebate in 2023, and applied on paper, their 2024 FSTR application has been sent in the mail. And if they applied online, they should have received an email notifying them that the application is available through our online portal, myMASC.    Existing FSTR clients can apply for the rebate online. New applicants are only able to apply using a paper application for the first year. Your completed application forms are to be sent to the nearest MASC Service Centre. To reduce processing times, please ask ratepayers to use the preprinted FSTR applications that were mailed to them as opposed to completing blank ones.    As we have done in previous years, we will accept your municipal stamp and signature near the bottom of the second page as proof the 2024 property taxes and any penalties or interest charges for each of the properties listed on the application were paid in full prior to the application deadline of March 31, 2025. Please note a paid stamp is not sufficient; the stamp must contain your municipal name and a signature. Blank FSTR applications are not to be stamped as paid and distributed to the taxpayer; doing so will result in our having to accept copies of receipts only.   Thank you for your assistance in ensuring that we can deliver the rebate to our mutual clients as efficiently as possible.
