Maintenance Work Scheduled for the East Selkirk Water Treatment Plant on Monday, July 22, 2024

Please be advised the RM of St. Clements has important maintenance work scheduled for the East Selkirk Water Treatment Plant on Monday, July 22, 2024. This work will involve service and upgrades to the two groundwater wells that have been in operation since 2012.

Upgrade Details:
The upgrades will include the installation of new well pumps, new variable frequency pump drives, and new pitless units. These enhancements are designed to increase groundwater flow rates and supply to the Water Treatment Plant, benefiting our growing community. Additionally, these improvements will enable faster recovery of storage volumes, which is crucial for emergency response during fire incidents.

Service Continuity:
We are pleased to inform you that the recently expanded reservoir at the Water Treatment Plant can support our community for 4 to 5 days of average water use. As a result, there will be no service interruptions during this maintenance work.

Request for Cooperation:
We kindly ask all customers to limit water usage between 7:30 AM and 7:30 PM on July 22, 2024, to essential daily tasks. This will help ensure a smooth upgrade process and maintain the efficiency of our water supply and available reservoir volumes in case of emergency.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to enhance our water treatment facilities for the benefit of our community. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at 204-482-3300 or info@rmofstclements.com
