As of April 1, 2025, any outstanding 2024 water & sewer and curbside collection bills have been transferred to property taxes.
- Unpaid water bills have been transferred in accordance with Policy 702 – Outstanding Utility Bills, which states that unpaid utility charges are a lien on the property and are collectable in the same manner as property taxes.
- Unpaid curbside collection bills have been transferred in accordance with By-Law No. 3-2023, which states that invoices overdue by 90 days will be transferred to the tax roll accounts and applicable penalties will be incurred at a rate of 1.25% as per the Annual Tax Levy By-Law.
Residents who received a notice of outstanding balances earlier this year were given 30 days to make payment. Any amounts that remained unpaid have now been added to property tax accounts, and an administration charge of $25 per tax roll has been applied where approved by the Public Utilities Board.
Please note that penalties will apply if taxes remain unpaid after October 31, 2025.
